Its a dog's life:rolleyes:
Re: I've also got a new...
Looking gorgeous Merry :)
I was originally going to post this in the training thread but maybe here’s more appropriate. Nowadays, with the dog thrown into the mix, my training if you can call it that and if you include walking and other activities with the pooch, has gone through the roof. Yesterday listed in order of activity I did:
1. The normal 5:45 am one mile walk through the fields and along Watery Lane with Harry
2. An 8 mile and 1200 ft run around Simonside Cairns (not with harry) following a work meeting in Northumberland
3. When I got back home ‘from work’ a drive over to Malham and a 4 mile and 600 ft run with Harry, including a stop off swim for both of us in Janet's Foss
4. A kick about for 15 minutes with Harry and his rugby ball in the field out back
5. A 1 mile walk to the supermarket and back (with Harry) to get a beer and a bottle of wine
6. Joining in another rugby kick about and stick throwing session with my kids.... and Harry
7. Just as I sat down to sip my beer in the back garden, Harry dashed off because the old lady opposite was watering her front garden; after being gratefully hosed down (one of his favourite things) he then went 'off on one' and ran around the back of her house, vaulted her back wall and ran about half a mile into the field behind with me in hot pursuit
8. A shortened last thing walk with Harry just around the block
I'd hazard a guess that I'm walking maybe 20 miles a week more than before and running at least 5 more miles too, all because of Harry. And I do realise that you shouldn't over exercise puppies but, jesus, Harry just never runs out of energy. He's like the terminator - relentless and unstoppable and if you can’t beat him you have to join him :D

Sounds ideal preparation for your upcoming 'on sight' BG

Good stuff Stolly, i'll be out a lot more in less than 3 weeks after final injections. Think this little madam will be hard to tire out, runs around at warp speed all over the house after she's emptied the washing machine!!! Wonder if she can be taught to iron as well:D

Finally getting them tired, poor old fly was limping tonight though, she was a stray so we have no idea how old she is.

My 7 month old pup ate a whole section of the stair carpet today, bang goes the house insurance no claims. Stop laughing Helen.

We're having a new bathroom fitted next week, dog is banned from it except for bathtime as she ate most of the old one.
She's running well though and is a tireless long-legged little Gem:thumbup:
