Now onto my 3rd Partner after yesterday's replacement failed to heed my 'don't get injured' plea.
However, took me all of 10mins to rustle up a partner - thank god DP's BG weekend got rained off so he isn't wrecked!

First Saunders that I've done. It says on the website that no GPS whatsoever is allowed. Does that apply to my Garmin Forerunner that I use to simply record how far I've run?
yup - if it has a distance read-out you can use that to know how far you've gone in searching for a control etc.
no point in taking your forerunner anyway - it'll run out of battery and you'll have no watch on the second day! I replace mine with one of those cheap casio argos jobbies (stolen from me dad as I'm such a cheapskate) so I know how long I've been out/when to eat - it's imperative for that, even if you don't feel hungry!
Forerunner weighs too much anyway!
It's not just devices with a read-out that are banned - trackers that just record your route and require a computer to get at the results are also forbidden. I ask every year in the hopes that they might have joined the other MMs, all of which allow or positively encourage their use, but the answer is always the same :(
