colin, you only need too hold on to the railing if you feel like your body is moving too quick and you might go past the gate unless you one moves like a slug then there is no need to grab the rail

Is anyone doing this race? As a turnslack virgin can anyone give a brief description inc. any climbs/descents of note?!! thanks

Not doing it this time but in short...initial climb, easyish first half then serious ups and downs on second half especially tough if as hot as it was in 2002!!
