Can tell you work in a college Danbert. In my 45 minute lunch break today, I helped five students with the making of their projects, sorted some papers out and had two kids in detention.

9 mile tempo run:)
Was due a trip out with the bike club but the 'fine' rain that gets you soaked was out in force so sat on the turbot for an hour!
15 min warm up.
16 * 3 min intervals with 1 min RI All 140-155bpm at 60-65 RPM trying to build leg strenght!
Gawd it hurt, but also strangely enjoyed it!

3.5 hours at training last night, 2hrs running/getting changed and 1.5 trying to get car off grass, including waiting for a tow from the RAC.
Top tip: Don't park on the grass
:D depends how vigorously you get changed i suppose
A cumbersome off road six miler through Alkrington Woods. Yesterday was definitely still in my legs (which felt like tree trunks.) Glad i got out though. :)
got a bus to the grouse pub on the hayfield glossop road and ran back following the kinder trog route to southead turned left down beet lane in to chinley as weather was worsening then along the old tramway to buxworth back over the fields to whaley bridge:D windy on the tops only saw 3 other people and they where runners:)
hill reps last night, nice run back with shane monks :)
rest today..
track session
10 x 400:(
10 x 200:(
and about 15 laps steady
too bloody windy
long jumpers was doing okay though
10 miles (road) steady pace.
A rather uninspiring run - had to keep backtracking around the streets to get the distance in. Getting notably lighter now though, soon be out in the countryside again.
Intervals tomorrow night.

PS Will Joliver Jim find this pic too sexy?
40 mins on the road very very very very very slowly. 10 reps of a steep but short hill and spent the whole 40 mins holding my right ribs
Just trying to not lose too much fitness but not sure its really doin me any good.
Daz - didnt you say you ran with your hand supporting your ribs when you crunched em?
Which cycle? (Isn't that a thread somewhere else?)Quote:

I sacked my coach on sunday - lack of results; so I'm going back to the old 'do what you like' regime.
1 hour ten steady steady last night, felt fine and groin ok!
First run over an hour in oooooo about 6 months!:D
Swim and bike ride (gales allowing) tonight!:(
Yesterday run for 50min on the road in Alty, start at 5pm.
I hate the traffic, this morning got up at 5am and out for a traffic-free run at 5:30. Best to start the day.
Nest Thursday Achille op. If it takes 6-week before I can start jogging again and 10-month before I can do GOOD training I'll be happy.
Wish me luck.
Weds - 4 miles brisk (well for me) and hilly road followed by 1 hr gym session.
Cheers - Raymond
4 miles this am.
almost felt like i was on top of a mountain with the sideways rain blowing down my ear :D
felt good running past all the stand still rush hour traffic
7 winpswept miles in about 1 hr 15.
I must admit to bein a bit worried about falling branches, i came across a fair few fallen trees.
steady 5.5 miles off road yesterday
4.5 hilly road miles tonight......how far will the wind make it feel ??
Say you were running 7 miles at 7mph hour, 3½ miles out, 3½ miles back.
It would take you 60 minutes to complete your run.
Now suppose a wind was blowing which decreased your speed by 1mph on
the way out and increased your speed by 1mph on the way back.
The first 3½ miles (at 6mph) would take you 35 minutes.
The second 3½ miles (at 8mph) would take you 26¼ minutes (trust me).
Total time would be 61¼ minutes, so the wind has effectively added 1¼ minutes to your time.
So you were right Danbert!
5x 1mile
Got out before it was dark. Bit dicey on the last rep though.
Only 3 miles-but at afairly good pace for me.
Nothing tomorrow-first race of the year Saturday.
Just finished on the turbo thing again. Why does it hurt so much?
8 miles off road
torch on
blowin a bit
luvley:)
Ran to work today. A bit blustery but not too bad. Decided to run home as well as the I thought the buses were going to be chaotic - like the trains - all over the place (but not going all over the place!)
