It was a Calderdale runner called Shaun. Sorry thats all we know.

Yep, that's Shaun Godsman.
Does anyone know a website/e-mail address and we'll send then a pic.
Thanks for a putting on a great race despite the the increasingly difficult stances that some landlords, United Utilities being one, are adopting. UU also in the spotlight for the Mary Townley Relay heavyhandidness.
Anyway, well done for staying with it and keeping its heritage alive. And well done to all the marshalls and helpers.
The Calder Valley winner was exceptional although conditions across the peaty top were slightly firmer and conducive for a good time.
How is the lad who went over on his ankle?
Shaun Godsman was leading by a "country mile" at CP7 ( summit of Parlick Pike, before the final descent to the finish ). That's where the Sport Sunday photographers were stationed and I was marshalling.
The injured ankle was Bowland's Warren Smith. That was at CP4 ( Arrowbank Spring Sheepfolds ), as usual excellently marshalled by Bowland Pennine MRT who ambulanced him out to Royal Preston Infirmary. Will need to speak to Andy F, the R.O., for an update on Warren's condition.
Apologies to Andy K, if he saw this post before I corrected it - just me getting confused between 2 of Bowland's newer members!!
Anyone seen any results yet?
On behalf of the RO: Just giving a heads-up to any interested parties. It's on Saturday March 17th for 2012, by pre-entry, ideally by 14th March, on the generic FRA entry form please. All details ( RO etc ) are in the FRA calendar. Please include a 'phone number on your entry; just in case the entry limit is exceeded and the RO needs to inform you ( will save a wasted journey on the day ).
Should be an ideal outing for anyone looking to have a nice low key trot around the W fringe of Bowland, as it clashes with Lads Leap ( English champs ).
Please car share where-ever possible and follow signs and directions, parking and passing are tight in the narrow lanes.
Ian.
Pre-entry only? I hadn't spotted that, I was just going to show up on the day! Thanks for pointing it out.
Yes! There are one or two access issues in the area and the RO has promised the land-owners a limit of 120 runners. Include a home 'phone number on your entry form, just in case he has to inform you that you are over the limit ( will save a wasted journey on the day ). Due to the clash with Lads Leap, it is unlikely that the limit will be exceeded; but .... assumptions can go horribly wrong!
Just "bumping up" for public info! See posts #172 & #174
Posting this morning :)
Should get a chance to post this today - haven't got access to a printer though so will have to be my own version of the FRA's entry form! Also, my bank won't give me a cheque book so hopefully the entry doesn't go missing in the post...
Sam, give Andy (the RO) a phone call, 5.00 - 5.30 tonight ( club run & pub later ). He will make a note of it and either his missus or mine will take the money off you on Saturday at registration. Allow yourself plenty of time to get there, lots of tight narrow lanes for approx 7 - 8 miles once you have left the M6 & A6. I'm usually the "greeter" that will be feeding you into our parking arrangements.
Ian.
As of yesterday evening the RO had received only 60 entries. Anyone with last minute interest for a trot out, please ring the R.O. ( contact details in the FRA Calendar / Handbook ) and arrange for EOD, please.
Ian.
Brilliant race today, well marshalled and a good route choice (very tough over the peat bogs!). Thanks to everyone involved!
Lovely day at Fiendsdale. Well done to the Pink Lady no. 96 on your first fell race. Attachment 5856 More photos at www.sportsunday.co.uk
Fantastic day out, many thanks to the organizers and marshals!
First time round the route, a proper classic, some great climbs and plenty of bog hopping!
A few pints of Guinness last night definitely helped! :)
Thanks Andy, Pam and all the helpers. Nice ambience to the whole event. The home-made cakes were the icing on top!

Very nice set of pics.
Any idea when the results will be up for this? Purely for the purposes of the forum champs of course! I had to rush off on the day so couldn't wait around to find out.
Results up

That link doesn't want to work for me because of those brackets but they can be linked off the race page

The RO and myself took a couple of the Bowland ladies round the course yesterday evening ( headtorches for the last 3 CP's ). Lots of wet, soft snow, calf deep mostly but "post-holing" above the knee in several places. Slow, heavy going, plus a really sharp NE wind on the tops. I think I'm going to be stood about at CP6 for quite a while on Saturday.
There's still a few places left; but don't just turn up on spec. Give the RO a 'phone call - details in the FRA Calendar.
Ian.
From the organiser;
PLEASE KEEP AN EYE ON THE (Bowland) WEBSITE FOR NEWS ABOUT FIENDSDALE ON SATURDAY.
THE FORECAST IS VERY SNOWY AND THERE MAY BE PROBLEMS GETTING THROUGH THE BACK ROADS.
