Hi
This race is on this sunday 11th april, I'd like to run it but entries are now closed. Does anyone have an entry but isn't going to run?

FRA calendar says entry on the day allowed but you pay an extra £1. Sorry to be a bit of a trainspotting anorak but the race is actually spelt Gisborough Moors but sets off from Guisborough! Come and seek me out on Sunday and I can pass on some other gems of pedantry.

Kit choice a bit tricky, imagine it can get a bit fresh on the tops. Maybe too warm for a helly but something underneath the vest might be in order.

Had a bit of a struggle and finished about 8 mins slower than last year.
Beautiful weather though, and stunning views, which I had all the more time to admire.
A following wind up Roseberry Topping was an unexpected bonus.
Saw a few forumites, but perhaps not as many of the Usual Suspects as anticipated.
I was some 20 minutes behind where I would have expected to be had I been fully fit.
But after a year in the wilderness training wise through various reasons, I was happy to get around in one piece.
Had I not, I suspect I might have retired and taken up golf :eek:
i was there, by eck it was hard work but enjoyable...well erm the last mile and a bit was when i knew i was nearly there!.....lovely friendly organisers thank you for all your hard work, nice to see hes there and running so well and thanks to phil green for a nice bit of banter at the start, i can't believe you ran that AFTER Allendale (well impressed!)....well two down out of my ten races planned this year....Anniversary Waltz next! :eek:Quote:

Freckle: We were obviously close at the start; I too was at the back near the man with the dog.
Looking at the photos there were only a dozen or so behind me at the top of the road.

Some great photos with a quite a few Fell goddesses (poetry in motion:D), I really enjoyed the run in great weather and had some good downhill battles with close rivals (friendly ones at that), missed presentation though had to get back home sharpish.Quote:

Fabulous run that really enjoyed it.

It was a grand day on the moors :-) As predicted previously in thread Durham Fell Runners had a good day out, 1st lady and both men and womens team winners, as well as many other good individual wins in the various age categories :-)
DFR, the north easts fell running club :cool:
