An hour after dark up Hameldon and around (again!). Just me and the sheep and the cows and horses and other scuttling creatures and dark shadows.
28.4 miles of pretty mixed mainly off road terrain, normally I would have stayed off road but as my next ultra includes road sections I made a point of sticking 5 miles or so on the road in for good measure.
7 miles of maily flat trail... cough, splutter, eughh! Not run for weeks and it shows!:(
Warm up, National XC Relay (14.58), and bit of a session afterwards.
Bed now, drive to Keswick in the morning and Derwentwater 10.
6.62 miles on the XC/Trail route on Pex Hill today quite heavy going in places.

Thats my last trip to the lakes this year. Loved it apart from not toughing a hill or mountain. Very clear visability, sunny and a small amount of snow on the very tops. I bet the OMM organisers wished they were putting the event on this weekend instead of last!!! (Didn't see one BBC camera man!)
