plundering the varied M&S selection tonight.
Cascade single hop - a poor imitation of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
Citra single hop - probably Oakhams Citra in a different bottle, so bloody good!
Greenwich Black IPA - decent but not enough hop flavouroma

I actually found the M&S Southwold Beer to be quite nice.
Adnams, I do like their brews.
An Ale from my childhood (Christmas dinner special)
Yep, from Adnams

Oh dear. I am a beer geek.
Had a truly incredible Imperial Stout from Ben Rhyding Brewery tonight. "Fuggle". It was astonishingly good !!
i generally agree about the supermarket 'craft' stuff. The m&s ones are at least made by people that know what they're doing, even if they don't always execute and often they are simply rebadged regular brews.
Having said that it's Jaipur all the way tonight!
I decide to check out Morrison's specially selected ales 2 for £3 (they have Morrison's name on the label along with the Brewer's) I tried the Marston's IPA (5.8%) and the Black Sheep Golden Ale (4.2%) both very good choices by Morrisons.
some cracking north eastern ales tonight in the glorious Rat Race ale house, Hartlepool. Mordue, northumbrian blonde and Mordue IPA, 2 amazing beers from a grand north eastern brewery :)
Arran Ale - Red Squirrel
Bought for the name alone. Quite nice, but lacking depth. Be a good beer to go with a Sunday pub lunch.
William Bros -Prodigal Son
An excellent Thwaites Nutty Black in The Flying Duck in Ilkley last night. Followed by a not so good Titanic Iceberg. Luckily only got a half. Then later in the evening I cracked open an exceptional Ben Rhyding brewery stout. A little expensive at £3.25 for 330cl, but oh so worth it !
Cheated myself to some bottles yesterday and perhaps one tonight! Daring I know..
Doom Bar and Tether I believe. Both a tasty and filling drop, newbies to me.
Tonight is either a McEWAN'S Amber or a Black Sheep All Animals.
out of curiosity... are any of you ale lovers familiar with or even know of the brewers of Wylam or Mordue? Both brewed fairly close to Newcastle and absolute rolls royce of beer makers up here...I was wondering if their good name has reached other parts away from Tyneside? Or maybe the pubs in yorkshire only stock local ales so you never get exposed too stuff from other parts???
A bottle of Guinness Foreign Export followed by a Dent Brewery T'owd Tup. Both excellent !
Last night I enjoyed a Spitfire. It was lovely.
2 Hobgoblin
2 Old speckled hen

Just drinking a bottle of this
I had my first "bad pint" of Tim Taylor's Landlord yesterday  It looked ok but it wasn't just right so I changed to Phoenix Brewery "Spotland Gold" which was very hoppy but not a bad session beer as I was having a session at the time watching the City - Arsenal game.
Krohn Porto Colheita 1982
Ok, no Ale obviously. But proving to be a lovely tipple. Especially as it's present with a cheese board.
My word I do love Port.
was supping a good few pints of, Tynebank brewery - Monument last night, a fine ruby red ale
i've had both. Mostly on holidays in Northumberland. Mordue was the better of the two as i recall! I have found a few bottles of Workie Ticket down here in the past and always snap it up. I think it is on of the best bitters around; amazing malt profile, lovely lingering bitterness and extremely drinkable.
your asumpstion about Yorkshire pubs stockign Yorkshire booze is pretty accurate. There's a few near me that have up to 8 on at a time, half of which are sub standard - but from Yarksha.
Troopers Iron Maiden tonight. Just the one, don't want another hangover..

tonight ive been supping some Consett, Red Dust. A great ruby red. Also Gower, power! Fruity, flowery strongish IPA which I quite enjoyed :)
Timothy Taylor LANDLORD, Phoenix ARIZONA, Moorhouses PRIDE OF PENDLE, Hawkshead LAKELAND GOLD
The Landlord has gone up 20p since last week so has now been removed from my beer of choice list.
2 pints of Farmers Belgian Blue
Just a drop or two of Eden from the world famous Elland Brewery.

Black Sheep Ale - Tipsy from a sniff, 1 maybe 2 depends how it goes down. It is Sunday after all..
3 very different beers from Durham Brewery tonight. Couple pints of Magus 3.8% session ale, bloody nice drop if you like your light ales :) Then had a bottle of Trincomalee IPA a 7% hoppy beast of a drink, outstanding :) I'm currently supping Trincomalee stout, 10% thick beautiful out of this world beer, go out and get some if you can :)
The Trincomalee is the oldest British warship afloat in the world, berthed in Hartlepool, I guess these beers are brewed to commemorate it
It does sound tempting! Couldn't find any info about the stout on a quick search online!
aye strange these beers aren't on their site, maybe they just produce them for sale at the marina museum shop where the ship is berthed, unlucky ;)
Great beer makers though http://www.durhambrewery.co.uk/
