Re: Fantasy Fellrunning 2010
[QUOTE=BillJ;342406]Hi DT,
Bad Magners appeared to select an entire bluff league team this year... and then kept with it! I'm not sure if that was a double-bluff, or not. ;)
Unfortunately Morgz has picked up an injury so we may not see much of him for rest of the season. My double bluff may not work. Or am I bluffing ?!?!?
Re: Fantasy Fellrunning 2010
Tactics, Bill? Blimey, the closest I got to tactics was a quick email to Lloyd to check he was coming over for this one! Then I just picked the best 2 male vets.

The reason I changed my team late on Saturday was that the group of forumites who choose the team I was against picked the same guest runners as I had. As they have extra pintage anyway from being in a higher league it made it more or less impossible for me to win irrespective of who I chose. For regular league fixtures this is obviously not a problem but for one-off cup ties it makes the virtual fell-side even steeper for sides from lower leagues. I'm not sure if there's anything that can be done about this, or even a desire to, but it's perhaps something to think about :)

There's a nice couplet for your poetry thread.
Thanks for replying to my original post.
What has happened to all the light hearted banter that used to be on this forum?
Re: Fantasy Fellrunning 2010
Can't believe Derby Tup won't have a fight with me. Says he's got to focus. What does that mean?

Who do you think I am? Aunt Sally? :D
Re: Fantasy Fellrunning 2010
Bit unfair this - about to depart on my hols - wont be able to monitor who's running and who's not - my team for the next round of the cup:-
Graham Pearce and Lauren Jeska from my normal team +
Ian Holmes and Lloyd Taggart as guests.
In the unlikely event that this team wins please can I have the same team for the next round if it is before I get back on the 26th July please Bill.
Tour de France here I come:)):))

No problem. Enjoy your hols :)
Re: Fantasy Fellrunning 2010
For any of those who swear tactics are really that important, look at how the brighty bunch is doing. Based on no knowledge at all i've put together a team that is currently running sixth, i started with a junior in without realising she'd only run one race so i'm effectively competing on one sub...which i've used.
Re: Fantasy Fellrunning 2010
Hi Bill,
I'd like to make my 2 substitutions please,
Ben Abdelnoor and Nicky Spinks in for
Mark Roberts and James Kevan
Thanks
Re: Fantasy Fellrunning 2010
Hi Bill,
I suppose I'd better make up a team for the cup. I've no idea who's going to be running at Wasdale, and I can't even be bothered sending out a few emails to try and find out, so it's all pot luck.
I think I'll keep
John Deegan &
Lauren Jeska
from my original team and bring in the following superstars:
Jane Reedy &
Mark Palmer
Now just hope a couple of them turn up!
