Re: Pennine Bridleway Relay
A group of us from Rochdale did leg 2 this morning, good running it was too. Snowed on the top while we were out. If anyone finds a manky black MIZUNO hat on Leg 2 its mine, fell out my pocket :(. Would love to get it back - had it 10 years or so.

A very runnable route and fast in places. Nice downhill finish!!!!
Looking forward to the relay next Sunday now.
Seemed to be another group setting off just as I retruned to the top car park. Bet there have been lots of klast minute recce's this weekend.
Is the kit checked as we start each leg similar to the CWR?
Kit checks are made at the start of each leg. No kit no run.
Waterproof/windproof full body cover ie cag and overtrousers
Map of the route
Whistle and compass
Hat and gloves.
Re: Pennine Bridleway Relay
This road closure is making things a bit tricky for leg 1 changeover.
Re: Pennine Bridleway Relay
Why? - you just divert past Turf Moor and it would add max 5 minutes to your trip if coming from the M65 direction.

Well the thing is, I've gotta shoot straight off to work after leg 1, so dropping my car off there, then going all the way back round to the start, is a bit of a ball ache ;)

The leg 1 runners got checked in the hall last year, but i never got or saw anyone having their kit checked once the relay was under-way (i was on leg 2)

I got a kit check at leg 2 start last year; easy really 'cos i was wearing most of it!
Don't skimp your kit; even if you're not bothered from a safety point of view it'll mean your entire team will be DQ'd if you fail to bring it and get spot-checked.
Would'nt fancy explaining that one to my team-mates:(

Very true.
Its not like its a maddive burden to carry what is required round with you either.
And as you say, i was wearing every item of clothing I had waiting for the leg 1 runners to come flying in.

Martin, the club has two other teams running. If you leave your car at the finish your partner can get a lift back with one of them. Being the first leg, there's not going to be too much of a wait.
You can shoot straight off then.
Thanks for bailing us out on this by the way.
