Ages ago I read Vikrem Seth's " A suitable boy", it is sucha romantic book littered with poetry which he intervweaves in the story, in fact i think if i remember right one of the charcaters sends poetry to his love but i might have that wrong as i literally haven't read it for years...but anyway here is one of his more sombre little poems....
Somewhere within your loving look I sense,
Without the least intention to deceive,
Without suspicion, without evidence,
Somewhere within your heart the heart to leave.

aye its good, its a huge book but i found it educational and it also really made me want to go to india...one day hopefully!
changing the subject slightly...i am really into thomas hardy poems at the minute...here's one i like....
Between us
Between us now and here -
Two thrown together
Who are not wont to wear
Life's flushest feather -
Who see the scenes slide past,
The daytimes dimming fast,
Let there be truth at last,
Even if despair.
So thoroughly and long
Have you now known me,
So real in faith and strong
Have I now shown me,
That nothing needs disguise
Further in any wise,
Or asks or justifies
A guarded tongue.
Face unto face, then, say,
Eyes mine own meeting,
Is your heart far away,
Or with mine beating?
When false things are brought low,
And swift things have grown slow,
Feigning like froth shall go,
Faith be for aye.
