I guess I'll just follow the people in front... one of the joys of being a middle of the pack runner!

I've self-diagnosed the problem as runner's knee, which is a non-specific inflammation of the tissue around the patella. It usually clears up within 5 days, or has done in the past, so sacrificing one of the old dear's cats to a deity carving of St Norman may not be necessary after all. Either way i can't see me putting in a good lap of Scout Scar.
Who is Adam?
No Map No Compass has it about spot on, but it starts from Bradley Field Farm, (the first on the right over the bypass on the Brigsteer road) then it heads off over to the Scar, loops south then back north to the mushroom, then the same way back. The exact route will depend on who is flagging it as I'm quite happy with the odd variation.

I'm hoping a bunch of our NEW Ambleside Junior team will be able to get there on Sunday (football matches and families permitting). So if you get there early (an hour early) then please give the juniors some encouragement - they start at 12pm with the U12s. My lot have done lots of training and we're raring to go!
