I have just had a wicked idea!! to have a photo taken of yourself in 1, Any place in the world, 2, doing something anything apart from running! All photos must be taken of the person in a pony vest and what ever and where ever sails your boat!

Got to ask - are you SURE this needs operating on? You say you've tried physio and you've obviously gone doctor > consultant surgeon route but.......

In my experience, I don't trust physios all that much, doctors are mainly programmed to believe in surgery and surgeons have a vested interest.

Have you tried an osteopath? They always seem far more keen to try and manage the situation and work through it if at all possible. What have you got to lose by giving it a go? It might make the difference between being laid up or coming out for plenty more BGR recce days this winter. Don't know anyone in your area but I'm sure others on here do.

Not wanting to sound cynical (as I am not a cynical man), every practitioner of every persuasion has a vested interest and / or view on what is best depending on their experience and discipline. Each of them will reach for what is in their metaphorical toolbox to fix a problem... you just have to make a decision and persue what convinces you as the way to go.

Whatever, it sounds as though you have thought it through Amex and good luck to you mate. Won't see you at the Christmas on the fells do (working and over commited right through) but take it easy.;)

I'm sooooo excited. My first run as a Pony on Sunday. Wonder if it'll make me go faster?
