A clubmate of mine (Bowland FR) has entered the full Trog but has the flu and will not run. If anyone wants the entry I will be there tomorrow, speak to me.

Was about to ring you, well after I'd been and had a bath! I'll walk out to the road end then. See you in the AM.
Just finished my breaksfast in bed, and looking out, at the mo the clag is well and truly down around the Calder valley.
Wonder if by 1010 it will still be trying to improve my navigation skills!
Just got back.
Did 20 miles in 3.24 a pb, unfortunately I was only at checkpoint 14, 2 from the end. So did 22 in 3.45. Took the long way across the moor to high Brown knoll then got totally lost between cp 13 and 14, my own fault i dashed off from the group I was with and missed the turn, I caught them at the last hill but was too shagged to go past. Think I lost between 7 and 10 places.
Running was fine though and felt stronger for this time of year than I have in a long time.
Thank you to Stagger for making Brett's Keighley races look organised. (Mrs Staggers work was excellent of course).
It was also nice to see Turbo Tom, he is growing up and getting tall these days - he tells me he will be out of nappies soon, but given the smell I'm not so sure.
I think I saw UK Hursty as I pulled up getting out of his car, said hello but did not realise who it was till afterwards.
All in all a reasonable day out (by Calder Valley standards)
Would just like to thank Alf first off, you are a legend, thankyou so much for your recce tips! Worked fantastically!
Great race, really well set up and friendly, thanks to all marshalls!
Probably the toughest race ever lol, gunna grab a bath then do a proper write up later.
17th place. 3.40
Very pleased with myself! :)
Just back from the half trog... what a laugh,. It makes me feel much better to hear them most people ( including hubs) went wrong!!
I was going well until Cock hill then it went all down hill and I ended up back on the drain struggling to find High brown knowll, then I struggled to find the air shaft!!
All in all it was a great race, thanks to Mr and Mrs Stagger for there fab organising and of course to all the marshall`s who make these race`s possible. and a special thanks to Helen for the lovely chocolate ginger cake, yum yum.
:) (im looking forward to the noonstone now)
