Emmilou - am I imagining it or did you, on the June recce, have a loose bearing you were following between Bessie Boot and Esk Hause? If so, what was it?
I know we went right of the tarn below bessie boot, but thereafter it's a bit hazy. If the clag is down it would be helpful to have something in mind:cool:
can't remember it Sam:eek: eek - I'll have a think, it'll come back to me - honest!
yes we did Mike - bit of a dilemma to find the right trod - very disorientating in that horrid condition, anyway, Huw seemed to think it was quicker and preferred it but I'm going to avoid as yes agree with you on the not as smooth as you think opinion!!
It was ok and is pretty runable but the time I get there i think my best option on tired legs is straight up as oppose to Moses. My ankle/ligament injury really took a battering on that trod and I'm suffering for it today:(
so sticking with plan A;)
Yeah, consider me 'educated' ;)
I'm still up for it though. I was injured when I did the 3 peaks this year and had a hard time of it. Now I'm pretty fit, have been running alot and I need my cocky, confident smile turned into a grimace by something like this. My main concern is the navigation but I'm sure that with pale into insignificance once I get going.
It'll become the least of my problems was what I meant....... but I was joking
