VERY WELL DONE! You didn't give up but managed to salvage a good day out from a potential disappointment:thumbup:x

Thanks WD, yes, it was in my mind to start a thread "Today's disaster" however that will wait for another day :)
missed my club ride Saturday a.m. by turning up 5 mins late, so went on a solo ride round north Kent.
115km @ 27.8km
Commuted my 28k to work this morning on the bike and have never laughed so much.
Got Causey Pike quads from Saturday, so everytime I put an effort in like at lights or on small inclines I just had to laugh. The burning pain made it a strange ride.
PS
I have to do the same home and there is 200m more climb on the way back:thumbup:
Rode to work short summer route, 14km road.
Long route 18km is much nicer but I was time pressed.
After swimming and large breakfast (half colomba with milk, yogurt, coffee).
I know the feeling Stagger :)
My legs were very amusing at first in Sundays ride, after saturdays hard ride :)
Back now after the steadiest 28k ride I have every done.
No pain no gain. Going to have a jog in the morning and either ride or rollers in afternoon. (snow forecast)
Snow you are saying? Think I shall dust my skates off ;)
I've had a top week cycling, making my total for the week about 135mi. Legs really tired after yesterdays 28mi with some bloody big hills. Thighs felt like lead first thing, so went up the valley & back. Given heavy snow sometime tomorrow night/wednesday morning, so doubt I'll be out. I was just getting some good cycling tan lines too
Double spin last night: a steady but hour at 85% MHR; then anaerobic intervals (5-minute intervals building up to 90-2% MHR - or higher - for last 2 mins; 90 seconds recovery).
