Everyone have a good run, take care underfoot :)
Best of luck to all;)
Well they were off on time, with a good following breeze.
Daz the racing snake was in 5th position when they passed me.
Best of luck to everyone and enjoy a great day.
Many thanks to all the organisers, mountain rescue and those out supporting runners. A cracking day and well run race. Hope all got home safe.
Right, off to the bath to make some fog as sadly there wasn't any on the hills.
Many thanks again.
Might have the beer in the bath...
Top day out although a few spots tricky underfoot! Those slabs when icy are a 'mare!!
Strong running y'all!
Thanks to Brian, AP and MR for sorting!
Cracking race today, tough race.
Thanks to all the oranisers and marshalls.
Results were slightly dodgy but we all know where we finished:p
Brave lad Daz H in the shorts!:p
Excellent day on the hill - weather superb with just the wrong kind of going underfoot for all those who, like me, had planned for a boggy Bleaklow crossing. The inconsistency of the snow pack probably made sure that all routes were pretty tough going from Crowden to the Snake.
I'd also like to echo all the thanks for the marshalling, for Woodhead MRT and especially for Andy and his team who have taken over Tanky's Trog.
Maintaining continuity for a long standing Peakland Classic like this is very important, and I'm sure that all the runners are very grateful that the race didn't just stop.
Talking about "Fell Classics", my spies tell me that GrahamB ventured into the Peak District today, but chose to do The Gravy Pud instead.
Well I'm knackered and I was only watching :)
Damn batteries went just as I was getting into the camera lark - will post what I have but it won't be much.
This looked like a great race, I can't wait to do it next year and well done to everyone who have kept this race going.
Well done all!
