Nice one, perfectly matched mixed pair
I'll be reccying Wasdale that day so will look out for runners on Scafell Pike, assuming I find it.
not 100% sure I'm going to be fit enough for this
anybody out there want to take a chance on a partner who will be playing russian roulette with the cut-offs...?
PM me if daft enough...

I think I met you and your partner yesterday on Scafell Pike as I began my own journey of discovery down into Eskdale. Looks like having worked my way through the initial boulder field I took a line further to the right than you did. Basically I just went where the ground was easier to descend / runnable (i.e. smaller rocks and grass). However, both routes seemed to do the trick. My partner on the day has been done this descent a few times so it will be interesting to see where we end up but at least it will be quicker than the double back to Little Narrowcove.
Hey up Bob, nice to meet you, we zig-zagged down but thought the best route was over to the left. Didn't think it was any worse than Little Narrowcove tbh. It's got to be quicker though as it's more direct. Dogs would have been down in no time if they didn't have to wait for us;)
As Captain Blackadder said to Baldrick when presented with three ways to cook a rat he had found in the trenches - "Ah the agony of choice !!". See you in May.
