Big thanks to all who kept this event going, been intending to do it for years but lacked fitness, entered too late etc.
Fantastic conditions today slippy in places but for the most part the snow held body weight (yes, even mine).

Well done to everyone that ran today, I wish I could have joined you for the full event.
I was hoping to get to the top of Torside to watch the leaders come through but left it a little too late and only managed to see them taking a wide variety of lines across towards Dowstone. Somebody was even taking a line line I wouldn't have thought of, up to the ruined cabin at Glossop Low and then across the moor.
I did manage to take quite a few photos at the top of Torside, if they look okay I will find somewhere to post them in the next day or so. I am not sure how they will look, my hands were starting to get fairly cold while I was watching.
Yeah, but did he go topless at any point, Stanners:confused:
Seriously, top race, thoroughly enjoyed it, thanks to everyone involved, may you all get loads of prezzies at crimbo:cool:
Big thank you to Stagger for the lift there and Mrs. Stagger for the lift back, your stars;) And i hope Mary/Pat:confused: is ok.
And that Rescue Ale is top notch, just finished it, they don't sell it in the village, might have a couple of blue tenants later, what do ya reckon Stagger?
A Peakland classic indeed! Brilliant day out, excellent organization, super cheese cobs at end. Many thanks to everyone involved and also to Mrs Stagger for the lift back to Marsden :) Now then, where did I put my Rescue Ale? ;)
Yes a big thank you to all the organisers, supporters and of course Mountain Rescue, they were everywhere keeping an eye on us. I enjoyed every minute of it although it was treacherous underfoot. Only trouble now is I'll have to do it again next year just to see how fast I can run it without the icy conditions!
Thanks Merry for dragging me round!
Linda
P.S Hope the leg is ok Pat, I'll give you a ring.

Beltin' day out, brilliant event...many many thanks to all those involved in keeping this event alive....Brilliant :)
The committee have just got in after a long day. even more so as we all ran it as well.:D
Very happy with my time and position as was Brent on his First TT. Even Andy surprised himself given amount of kit he was carrying;)
Glad you all enjoyed it, Thanks for all the thanks, we'll be back next year.

That used to be my line a couple of years ago. still a good line I think. good in cloudy conditions if you know it.
The three "casulaties" were all delt with one taking a precautionary trip to the hospital with a cut and badly bruised shin just to make sure there was no bone damage.
Given the slippery nature I think it could have caused a few nasty slips.
