Never could pronounce my 'r's, jodg, as you well know.

Very obvious route, no problems at all on that score Iain.
Shoes are a funny one with this race, I normally opt for something like Wave Harriers or NB840s. Three river crossings, couple of short tarmac stretches, the rest is fields, tracks and fast descents to the rivers.
Great atmosphere, just as many out for a hard thrash as there are for a steady plod. A shorty but one of the best :D . Just make sure you're near the front to get through the stile ahead of the queue!
Oh, and yes, just roll up 18:00 onwards and register. You get a number for life, same every time you race it.
I've managed to get lost before now! I've heard rumour that Mr. Trunce has managed to as well :O
A descent pace (starting on the grass to overtake those with elevated ideas of their ability!) for the first km is recommended to get to the stile before the queue develops.
Trail shoes are fine, but Sandals appear to work well!
I should be there on Monday, hoping on a significant improval on last time - no Edale Skyline excuse this time, just the hardest week of training yet this year! :O
Iain, only place you will tend to stray is just prior to the descent through the wood to the 2nd river crossing. If unsure just stick to some of the fast lads as once over the river you ascend to the road and then run back to 1st river crossing for your return.
Just a reminder about parking at the next 2 Trunce races. The cinder car park will still be used but when full we will, weather permitting, be using the gateway next to the Wagon Car Park to access parking and registration on the playing field.
Wherever possible please share transport for several obvious reasons.
If the field is wet car parking will be at the childrens play area about 200 metres Oxspring side of the pub, only room for a dozen or so cars, at the bottom of Bower Hill, which is the road directly opposite the pub, there is a section of old road on the South side about 150 metres from the junction. If these areas are full PLEASE park sensibly and safely where you can but do not block any driveways.
Thanks. Andy
