Leaving work in a couple of hours and setting off... More than likely camping at Baysbrown if anyone else is around from these parts.

Three of us set off for todays race but turned back due to a bad accident on m6 causing its closure from junction 34 to 36. Imagine numbers may be down or was the race delayed, doubt we were the only ones who realised the start time wouldn't be met. Hope everyone had a good one, it's a cracking race.

Absolutely superb race. Massive thanks to all involved in organising it.
Was sitting outside the pub afterwards in the sunshine having a pint and had one of those moments when you think 'it doesn't get much better'...
Some photos here.

Pity you missed the race ~ the weather was spot on and about 250 turned up.
When we saw the queue on the M6 we phoned the 3 Shires Inn to let Selwyn know of the issue. He decided to delay the start until 11.30.
Great piccies from the 'Charters' link in previous threads ~ very professional.
Just thought I'd add my thanks to the organiser and all the helpers and marshals. Brilliant race and so lucky with the weather.
Enjoyed Selwyn's stories at the start! Pity some missed the race.
Had planned to recce some of Langdale today, but am instead at Bilbo's enjoying a relaxed coffee. I don't feel too guilty.
Well done to all and thanks again!
