Well the wind was crackers today , A real grinder
Was going to do a 100miles but stopped at just under 50:rolleyes: as I have the Downfall to run.
Wrist is still knackered and on these roads every bloody five seconds a jolt to a poorly wrist is not good.
ADY:)
remember Liege- Baston - Leige
OR LA DOYEAN, The old lady of the classics is on tommorow on Eurosport.
Kelly will be his usual self and Harmon will be attempting to get him excited.
Hinault won Liege Baston Liege one year in a blizzard
His team got him to Baston and he set off on his own
100 riders abandoned that day and Hinault rode the 60miles back in the lead on his own
Shorts on and just a pair of saoking woolen mitts he won the race easily.
He always maintained it took him months to get the feeling back into his fingers.
A truly hard man of cycling
Hinault ( The badger )
Seem to remember Roach (or was it Kelly?) saying he made a solo break of about 20 miles to catch a lone Hinault and when he eventually got up to him Hinault turned round and growled 'NOW RIDE'. Was a hard hard rider.
Been looking at http://www.bernardhinault.com/index.htm some cyclist, some career
10 mile to Hebden Bridge. Watched youngest sons team win 12-0 in their last match of the season and 10 mile back home.
Both ways with eldest son, great morning.:)
This bloke should stick to cycling! (Actually it's a pretty good time!)
