Hey! can we be the Fell Poet Pirates?
Morally - well obviously we're on dodgy ground with the fish fingers and chocolate biscuits - but if poetry was my trade, I'd want them to be read.

Remind me not to hum a tune I didn't pen in a public place... :-)
That is a great idea OW! I am digging out my bandana and eye patch...not sure how the patch will affect my running but I did run half of Fox and Hounds with only one contact lens in as it got knocked out after I fell down a hole in the heather. It was an interesting experience!
[QUOTE=Harry H Howgill;305101]You have an interesting point of view on this as you are in the position of the being a person who's work could be technically "stolen". (I'm also sure that an original will be of far superior quality to a cut and pasted version). It must be difficult as you will lose some control as to how the work is presented, but you are right also in that you will get increased exposure, and as long as you are credited correctly that seems ok, like you say. Have you ever had to ask anyone to remove a picture of your work from a website? QUOTE]
I have never had to ask anyone to remove my work because mainly they are just pasted on blogs or people's websites and are credited to me. I actually find it flattering and am chuffed to bits that people like my work. The times I've had to deal with copyright issues have been over illustration work and drawings being used repeatedly for successional projects without me being paid. Also had my work ripped off by another artist who got a job I went for and he had the cheek to copy my drawings badly! Oh yes...years back someone copied one of my prints and started selling it but it was really poorly made so I wasn't too bothered. The techniques I use are very hard to replicate, have been developed by me over years of experimenting and you need a press and printmaking knowledge.
All looked bleak
