Not just the classic Knoydart big day itself, but also the preceding day's logistics to get out to Barrisdale involving a "midnight walk". Superb! 183 down, plus presumably the expected 12 yesterday, a cycle ride today then the Cuillin ...
Latest (from Stephen W this a.m.) is that Spyke finished 1130 last night, is probably doing Sgine, Saddle and Sgriol today, cycling to Skye tomorrow. Some discussions around whether to do Blaven tomorrow.
So he did indeed do Blaven Saturday, hopefully he did the Cuillin Main Ridge Sunday?... http://chris-upson.com/Munros/MunroSchedule23May10.pdf Anyone know how the weather was up there?
I received a message off Spyke Sunday night to say that he was safely off the Cuillin ridge and bagged all the Munro's. No mention of the weather. He's on his way to an early completion now.
Fantastic. I hope to catch up with him Weds pm/evening in passing.
I think he must have, Yiannis. Main Ridge writeup now blogged http://munros2010.blogspot.com/ Latest from Stephen Watts, Spyke was doing Cluanie horseshoe Mon pm, west to maybe A'Ghlas Bheinn or Dheiragain today then thru to Affric tomorrow; I'll hopefully catch them there - or on Toll Creagach or Carn Eige, if my feet / legs are working again ...
Spoke to Spkye the other day after he came off the Skye Ridge. He sounded a little worse for wear (but who wouldn't be). He was planning to head to Cluanie on the bike, then around the horseshoe, yesterday, before taking on the N.Shiel ridge today along with Ben Attow and A'Ghlas Beinn, before stopping at Altbeithe tonight. After that the N.Affric ridge, then the Monar peaks.
PS Yiannis - he did descend W off Blaven
