To my knowledge it has been cancelled at least once in the late 90s because of snow that had fallen about a week before the race. After an inspection of some of the route the snow was deemed to be too deep for it to be sensible to run the race.Quote:

Hmm, I was lamenting the fact that I wouldn't be running the 35th to Tanky this pm and he said that it hadn't been called off yet due to the weather. Any one out there remember/know better?
