Ah-Ah, Easington Fell, one of Boweland's five Marilyns .... Easington, White Hill, Ward's Stone (E), 1707 (Fairsnape), and Spire Hill (Longridge Fell)!
Don't attempt to mention Pendle Hill. It's the other side of that big drainage ditch, the Ribble Valley. The pinkey-lefty, bed-wetting, liberal commies at County Hall keep trying to tell us that it's in Bowland, when it ain't .... there's The Forest of Bowland and there's The Forest of Pendle!
There is actually a seldom visited trig ( a metre lower ) just 2 km to the SW, Waddington Fell and another just 2.5 km to the ESE, Beacon Hill ( Scriddles Farm on the OS Trigs website ) These three "points" make a good triangular run from the lay-by at the top of the Waddington Fell road, or indeed from the car park at The Moorcock.
