Anyone out there in touch with Lycramike's team?
Should be approaching Dunmail around now.
Hi Roy - Dave (Leg 1) saw the forum message but I couldn't log in to reply.
Hard luck ... but only for now.
As folks say, get properly better before you think of giving it a shot. Long distance strenuous work after a virus is seriously dangerous and takes casualties no matter how fit they were before they fell ill. Keep us updated on your plans and I'll help out if I can.
Incidently, during last week I did a few variations of the the Blencathra descent you were asking for and, in the dry, the direct route down the ridge was slightly quicker (without trying to go quickly) than the variations to the west side. Greasy and slippery would probably make the other option preferable, but there are plenty of threads discussing this at length elsewhere!
Keep well and give yourself time.
Dave
Weldone Tim on getting round especially with the weather against you and hard luck rob it'll be there for another day :)
Well done lycramike!
22.33 yesterday in far from ideal conditions.
Chapeau!
Congrats Lycramike - good stuff. Heard the conditions were dire.
