Don't eat all the cakes.
Made it to Jura, but blimey - it's very wintery for May!
Es Tressider won it in 3:21, Ian Holmes second in 3:28. Sarah Ridgeway won the ladies, Fiona Maxwell a brilliant second after leading through half way. I finished :). Sorry, haven't heard about fly. Conditions were OK, good visibility almost throughout, very strong winds on the tops. Its a montrous route!
I'll get the results posted when i eventually touch base on Tuesday morning. Thank you everyone who came and ran and helped out - what a day!
A big thank you to the organisers and the islanders for a great event. I'll be back for more for sure
Thanks to Graham and all the organisers for another magical weekend. Wing and prayer worked OK. It's always a wrench to leave Jura though.
The Jura 2011 results will be posted on the website and released to the FRA and SHR as soon as one small anomaly has been sorted. (One of the numbers was mis-reported, with the result that Alison Raw's name did not appear on the results list.) After the prize-giving, my and many other people's attention was comletely taken over for and hour or two by a search for a runner who retired, but did not report back to race control. The mountain rescue were about to set off back up the hill, etc.. Huge thanks to everyone who must have been tidying up for me, and putting everything into the back of my car. I have a small lost and found collection. Also, a square-face watch was handed to me during the day, and I put it with all my stuff, but it has not re-appeared now that I have unpacked the car. I hope its owner found it.
Results have been sent to the FRA and SHR boffins. dnfs will appear in due course on the fell race website.
