Had a great time! Did 1:32.XX was second fell race (first was Roaches!). Great fun, got boggy, wet, wind-swept etc. Almost truned an ankle twice going down Houndkirk, but it seems to have survived!
Excellent organization etc.!

Dispite the last minute route change, which was probably wise given the conditions, which favoured the faster whippet types, it was a cracking little race! Lots of nice muddy and wet bits to splash around in, literally in my case as I fell head-long into the stream just before the stone trough check point at Burbage! Though the strong winds over Houndkirk Moor helped dry me off a little!
It was a close fought race up front, apparently, with a lot of swapping of positions right up to the finish line!
Nice sausage, bacon and egg butty in the rugby club afterwards made it all worthwhile!!!
Thanks to Totley for another successful event.
Official results arent out yet - here are dark peak results so if you know your time you can get a rough idea of where you came
There are usually about 350 entrants so I am sure you were a long way from last!
I was 114th I think - was pleased. 2nd fell race has left me wanting more! I am surprised the results are not up as they seemed close to complete on the day!
BTW, how do the others in this series compare. Are you doing the others? Do they all start at the same place?
Etc.
Totley AC always seem to take forever to get their results up - they do have some photos though on their website
The next two races are both 5-6 mile sprints (Tigers Todger and Totley Moor), neither are that inspiring imho. I haven't done blackamoor, exterminator is well worth doing (16 miles orienteering type fell race)
They set off from either the rugby club or the cricketers pub in Totley
