The Waltzing Weasel on the road towards Birch Vale/ New Mills was nice last time I went in there.
The Sportsmans Inn on Kinder Road (about 400 yds from finish - Grid SK044 868) is by far and away the best pub in Hayfield. Good food, Good Ale, Kids & Animals welcome & NO Riff Raff. :)Quote:

That last climb up Mount Famine was a calf buster, once at the top and over the stile my legs didn't want to run, I had no feeling left in them :o
