Hi Crowhill, I have been in the Quays pub in Galway, very nice it was.
We are going to be around the Dingle peninsula this time. Having a climb up Mt. Brandon which I believe is the highest one in the area.
You and Mrs Crowhill doing Holme Moss ?? it is a counter this year.
Any luck with a number for Borrowdale yet ??
Get into the bars in Dingle town, its like going back 50 years. Theres one that will make you think of the 2 Ronnies "I want some O's" or "4 candles".
O'Flaherties on the quay is a good one for Irish music.
Try and get out onto the Blaskets (most westerly point of the British Isles) as well, definitley worth a trip.
A couple of books to read about the Blaskets are "Peig" and "The Island Man". Books written about folk who lived on Great Blasket up to the 1950's.
Hi Plumbum, last time we were there we went to the Blasket info centre/museum. It was very good. we couldnt get over to the islands, bad weather, but will try and get over this time.
Just got hold of a copy of Ryans Daughter which was filmed on the Peninsula.
We are staying b/b at 'The Dingle Pub' :D
Anyone know if there are drink drop offs (like at 3P) or good watering holes along the way?

Fell grand prix race for us, so i'll be there.
Sounds like a good race by all accounts.
Looks like a fig 8 with the one half quite similar to the recent Crowden horseshoe course, ascending black hill on tother side of the stream to begin with. Think I'll be looking to do about 3hr45 if I don't get lost, probably stalking someone who knows where they are going
