That's a shame Dom -sorry to read of your latest injury - I've just recovered from the calf problem I picked up the week after GP5 so I think this will be too soon for me despite having recce'd the course about 2 months ago!!
Definitely mud!! Only slightly 'rocky' sections are drops down to the beck crossing.Quote:

I cannot stress the need for full windproof/waterproof whole body cover enough.
It is so exposed up on that moor and crawling back with a broken ankle could mean a really serious situation. They built a windfarm up there remember?
Spare a though for me flagging Friday afternoon in that FREEZING wind !!

And now... about a foot or so of fresh snow !
Full body cover essential.

Come on folks, don't mess about, just do what the organiser tells you. Bring your bumbag and fill it with all your kit. This is a cracking race and we don't want to jeopordise future events. Stringman (AG) does a brilliant job here so please obey his intructions.
I was on Pendle last night in the snow. It was cold and windy and there was no way I would have wanted to be near the trig without full body cover.
Me and the good lady will be there, this was my first fell race some six years ago, brill race
Got a bit of a cold but will be there tomorrow.
Not really my kind of course but Stringman deserves support.
Love to come, but taking family to Jorvik centre. The race would be a lot cheaper as well. All this is a good excuse. My legs are not up to it at the moment.
May well be my first fell race tomorrow. Is 30mins about right for time to allow before start for registering/paying entry fee etc?
HNY all
