You have a short memory Young Mr. Fowler:rolleyes:
Recieved a letter off a senior manager at work today, thanking us all for our effort and hard work in tidying up the place for a visit from our new bosses from Bosch, we've been taken over.
It was riddled with spelling mistakes, ie "Thank you for removing all brocken pallets from the building" and "The appearance of the fitters shop as greatly umproved" But my favourite one was "Any questions about the takeover, please do not estimate to contact me"
This pillock is degree educated:confused::D
Okie Dokie;)
Last day of rest before comeback from latest calf strain - see Today's Injuries from 2 weeks back.
As of yesturday i have hung my running shoes up for a while.
I know The Master said i should not stop running altogether but i think im doing them some long-term harm now whereas originally i just got on with it. Amex will tell me to harden the f*** up again but that'll come master amex.
Going to the physio tomorrow but i dont have much confidence that its going to help very much.
Oh ffs - im young and not meant to get pissing injured....WHY!!!!!!
Rest day today, speed session tomorrow, easy friday Moel Wnion saturday...
I've not run since Sunday but'll have a trot out tonight with the club. Two more days off then what always feels like the start of the running year for me at the Howarth Hobble on Saturday :)
Two enforced days of rest before race on Sat. Been doing a wee bit almost every day for a couple o' weeks so it's nice to put the feet up. :D
Bloomin' hard to resist the temptation to go out though... :(
Doing sod all today, however, just put together a trampoline for the kids, one of them enclosed jobs, easy to assemble, b@ll@cks, not when the Mrs. has steamed in without reading the destructions and stretched all the springs:rolleyes:
Back to resting now!!!
I have to rest today, but i am raring to go, cannot wait till Wednesday to go running walking whatever it is i do LOL! having a house alarm fitted etc today, so i got to stay at home!!! But i plan to maybe go out tomorrow to the park. Those chips at the lake's cafe are lovely, an incentive, i'd buy half a portion....
Rest today Lads Leap tomorrow.
Now that's my type of running, a brisk effort around the park and then straight to the chip shop/cafe/pub.
There is a rumour within my local running club that I only bother going running to burn off a few calories so I can fit a bit more food in!:D
Keep up the good work Nirvana B.:)
Lounging about on sette, half reading paper and half looking on here whilst eating chocolate and drinking endless cups of tea. Can someone gee me up please to go out, even if it's only for an hour's walk? :)
resting resting resting........
bored :(
does doing mad cap dancing count as resting?
Was going to try a gentle recovery run but my legs are very sore and it's peeing down so it's beans on toast and a night in front of the telly :p
Talking of hard graft merry, what was the 40miler you did recently? Good work that matey! :)
It was the 30 mile route i did the week before the Hobble with a 5 mile run to the start and a 5 mile run home. About 5000 ft of ascent thrown in. Was a bit of a confidence booster cos i ain't covered that distance since my twenties;)
Even managed a walk to the curry house later:D
No running today but it was stunning this afternoon so I walked from Addingham over Haw Pike to Bolton Abbey, nipped in the Cav Pav for a pot of tea and a KitKat, picked up the Blubberhouses 25 route to the top of Beamsley Beacon then walked back down to Addingham. Marvellous!
No running to report this evening :(
did three peaks on saturday - pleased to get through without being cut off
felt ok sunday and monday day (and started fantasizing about ambitious post illness comeback training schedule), then felt knackered after work yesterday and went to bed with a headache, so i declared today a rest day and made fish cakes - yum :-)
I was amazed I managed to run both Sun and Mon after PPP albeit slowly on very sore legs  Looking forward to run out on Ilkley Moor tomorrow with club followed by Belgium beer at Bar T'at
