Ady my in laws came from Somerset and I was 'lucky' enough to be taken to a local cider maker to buy three jerry cans full yonks ago. Needless to say the stuff was spastically strong and it was impossible to see your hand on the other side of the glass if you held it up to the light. It could've equally worked as paint stripper or floor varnish. Thats cider!
You've been spoilt Stolly. Real Somerset cider and now real Yorkshire ales!Next you'll be telling us your grandad lived in Belgium and used to take you round the local breweries when you visited! Anyway, each to his own but I do like a drop of cider. At least the speciality farm produced ciders actually have a taste before you lose your senses unlike 'White Lightening' and others of that ilk. When I have got my ginger/clove/sugar balance just right I will bring you up a bottle up to compare and contrast :)
