A leg falling off is a bit of a problem for a fell runner. However, a dose of MANflu is all together more serious

Tut. They can't. This is probably just one of those coincidences that happen from time to time. I expect poor Stef (<- note sympathy) has caught some other bug that was floating around at the time, but although she will have been suffering, it won't be the same God-awful affliction that nearly did for DT. It's been scientifically proven that the female gender is genetically programmed to be resistant to MF, this is nature's way of compensating for the preponderance of testosterone in males :D
Actually, I'd better shut up. She doesn't live far away and my nose has already been bust a few times.
I'm now recovering from my severe case of GIRLflu and can happily report that the final traces of it might be seen off by a quality glass of red. HOWEVER, sparkling wine could be needed to repair the damage caused by Martyn's sexist outpourings above :closed::w00t:
BIRDFlu getting worse here  I have lost the use of one nostril completely (the opposite side to the newly grown back leg), and I think there is some wire wool stuck in my throat.
Good job I am brave :closed:
I don't believe this!
3rd bout of GIRLFlu since mid October!!!!!!!!!:sneaky::angry:
Why? :boohoo:
I've got a bit of a sniffle :closed:
Have well and truly gone down with (wo)man flu. Watery gunk seems to be coming out of every facial orifice, my head is banging, my eyes ache and my neck is all lumpy. However, as it's (wo)man flu, I will stoically get on with things and not complain (about feeling like s+++ and really suffering....just saying). Just going to soldier on...here I go...I'm off to soldier on...I don't want any sympathy honest. helloooo, anybody out there??? :boohoo:
Feeling worse today :boohoo:
Maybe it's lack of mince pies. I haven't had one since Friday!!!
Obviously the mince pies are the source of the virus. I haven't had a mince pie yet & I'm fine. I'm surprised the Daily Mail isn't on to this already.
Well I have got a lovely glass of Crabbies Mulled Ginger wine. Lovely, warming and soothing on my poor throat and clearing out the sinuses nicely :closed:
Slightly worried about the mince pie connection being a bad thing! I've just had one of those to try and cure me too, but maybe I will wake up worse tomorrow?! What if I have another mulled wine to counteract the effects?!
OHW, take no notice of spurious rumours circulated by non-medical people claiming mince pies carry viruses. They're just out to get your baked goods! Be vigilant
Think I've got MAN ear infection, earache obviously, dodgy balance and sick feeling............and in largest ear too:thunbdown:
It was a puff pastry one - does that make a difference? Carefully locked away in the cupboard now :closed: (to hide them from myself mostly!)
It's official ... I have woman flu. It's specific symptoms include laryngitis. This has resulted in a general quiet as those who know they need instruction gather to try and hear my whispered tones.
I can now report that Stolly's fourth bout of manflu is at 1.75/10 and mine is currently at 8/10 (larger number equals really bad!). However, inspired by the spirit of all you stalwarts on this thread, I managed a headtorch run with Stolly and Harry although Haz and I took a low traverse instead of nipping up the last hill. Harry tends to look out for weaker pack members, he's that kind of dog:) Lassie could learn a thing or two!
Oh dear. Proper (wo)man flu alert. Feel all hot and cold, prickly, lacking in all energy, feeling pukey, snotty, headachey...... Even not feeling much like eating mince pies and drinking mulled wine, and considering not going to my work's night out tomorrow (and we're talking the unofficial inner circle of the best people night out here, not the departmental nonsense)......................... Can I go home please? :boohoo:
Jeez the whinge and pitiful-ness factor has also reached a new high. Must be bad.
This past week I've fallen foul of the lurgy :p improving but only slowly, no running or exercise or fun since Saturday as a result
Just started yesterday with it yesterday.
Went to chemist and bloke next to me said whisky, honey, lemons and warm water.
Off I went to the booze section.
Just poured my 1st glass of the cure all or sleep.
Had some sort of flu since Tuesday, temperature was just over 40 degrees yesterday so even my (very unsympathetic because she's a paramedic and has to deal with lots of whining types) wife was feeling sorry for me.
Lack of exercise getting annoying now, as is the lack of flavor in my food.
I've had (got / am recovering from as have been too poorly to get to a keyboard) woman flu ... nuff said
Bottle empty
mega hangover
still got manflu
