I wasn't - but thank you for making me aware of it as an option:)
I have no beef with Stolly he needs no help from me to get in a state:D

Tom & Scott aside, how many juniors post on the FRA forums?
As always in life, minor things have been blown out of all proportion, and folk are disagreeing in lumps, the human race has come a long way.................NOT!
Last post on this thread for me:p
Disagree Merry - think this thread is more or less finished now, but some interesting things have come out of it.
We have a broad code of conduct we have all signed up to already, but which is not really enforced and often ignored.
There is some interest in a youth forum.
Whether we like it or not FRA has child protection responsibilities that would extend to content on the website no matter how many juniors read it, however that may not be an issue if we in future adhered to the code of conduct we already have.
Worthwhile exercise I thought, certainly got me thinking.
I go away on my hols and come back to this.
Whats all the fuss about?
A bit of banta gone too far. Just say sorry and move on.
If a lad is big enough to run fells he is big enough to post on here.
PS No I have not read the last 20 odd pages.
ok
to sum up
Concern was expressed about the language and comments made on the forum and that there should be a code of conduct by a new poster.
The person who made these comments was hounded out of the forum, with cries of how dare you tell us what to do, we have been posting longer and are therefore always right.
I pointed out how comments people make can be misread if taken at face value, comments made including ones that could be seen as homophobic, racist and encouraging people to falsify race entries. There was also an abusive post involving the c word on a thread about speeding that to my knowledge is still there.
Stolly got the hump
This moved on to who had access to the forum and themes discussed.
This then led to a discussion about whether we liked it or not the FRA has a protection duty towards young people and the FRA could be penalised if it was seen to not seen to put safeguards in place. Which could include a young peoples forum or banning young people from taking part, (something difficult and at odds with the FRA open to all approach).
young people on the forum got the hump.
It was pointed out we have all signed up to an existing code of conduct which most people break most of the time and the moderators do not enforce.
Stolly got the hump again
Brett will do nothing until there is a formal complaint about young peoples access to the forum and the themes within it and the FRA is forced to apologise and clean up or close down the forum retrospectively.
Fellmonster has a conspiracy complex.
Think that's about all.
Or you could have just said....
Someone got the hump about what somebody said and believes something should be done....the majority thought it was was abit OTT in a way...
I forgot to mention whilst all this was going on that young people on separate threads posted semi clad pictures of women and dirty jokes encouraged by older posters.
Cheers AS
So nowt new then;)
