Guess what I've just seen?!!! An Eagle owl.
Up on the chimney of King Street Studios at Pateley Bridge, 9.30pm. It was enormous and a young policeman showed up with a high powered torch and we got a really clear look at its huge eyes and tufty ears before it flew away. Blooming amazing.

...and a bit confusing when DT changes his location back ;) Cape wagtails very common over here :confused: The twitchers will be flocking (no pun intended) to Keighley :D

I didn't see the vole but I saw its tracks.
Also saw the tracks of a fox nearby...probably hunting the vole!

An owl was following me round the playing fields behing my house last night whilst i lapped it.
It kept giving a screetch every so often...i wonder if i was disturbing mice?
No idea what owl it was, perhaps a tawny?
