Enjoyed a Saltaire raspberry blonde ale this eve, very pleasant and refreshing. Good ale substitute for cider on a hot day.

A T.T Boltmaker & an excellent Saltaire Summer Ale in The Queens Head this Fathers Day.
83 days for me without a drink! It's been fairly easy going until I logged into the forum..
A cheeky Monday lunchtime visit to keep the local economy ticking over resulted the discovery of a new brewery (no doubt #craft) - Vocation from Hebden Bridge. Three excellent beers; their flagship 'Pride & Joy' a very tasty APA (keg), Heart & Soul again a tasty hoppy pale (cask) and Chop & Change (Cask) their experimental line of single hop beers, this one was Chinook.
worth looking out for.
all at the Swan on the Stray - Harrogate
Innis and Gunn Original for me - bit strong but drinkable!
They have a couple of Innis & Gunn on offer, in Aldi, in a presentation box at the moment for £1. One of them being the treacle porter. I'm not sure if the other is the whisky cask. Worth a punt at that price!
A flagon of Bad Seed IPA from Fuggle & Golding tonight. Beautiful stuff. Although at 7% & on an empty stomach after a run I'm feeling light headed.
1.5 pints of stunning Northern Monk Mocha Porter in Bar T'at this lunchtime. Sensationally good. Even the hungover barman had a half.
Harrogate Tap today
a rather pleasant Jarl by the Fyne brewery - very pale single hopped with Citra (they didn't use enough!)
and
an excellent Divide & Conquer from those crafty types at Vocation. Black IPA, lovely juicy fruit hops and dry roast malts.
I had a Black IPA from F & G t'other night but can't remember what it was called. Brown label on the bottle iirc. Superb anyway
300 bottles only.... You had to be there!

Friday's trip to keep the local economy going:
2 x North Riding - Citra Pale.
I had two of the same beer. That is praise enough!
@Old Bell. Harrogate
Purple Moose Brewery 'Elderflower Ale', very lemony.
Today's effort to bolster the local economy.
Dancing Duck - Dark Drake (from Derby) luscious blackness with heavy roasted flavours, almost coffee. Everything that Guinness could be, but isn't
Beavertown - Gamma Ray. other end of the beer spectrum. light colour, tonnes of fruity hops. fantastic. from a 'craft keg' how achingly hip (and expensive!)
both from 10 Devonshire Place, Harrogate
Fullerton's Front Row and Castle Rock Crafty Flanker. Is there a rugby match coming up or summat?
Moor Raw & Kirkstall Pale @ 10 Devonshire Place Harrogate. The real star of the show was the Malay street food that was on offer from the upstairs kitchen. absolutely fantastic! worth a visit.
I've about stopped. Not had a pint for weeks
Racing or supping DT?
Not on here as much as I would like either?
Doom Bar for me. Bit of a rubbish week at work so been looking forward to a couple of beers tonight.
A bottle of incredible Founders KBS Stout tonight. 11.2%, so just the one.
A bottle of Saltaire Blonde. Only one mind because I don't really drink now
Nowt:-
1 cause doc said don't drink till I go back to see him
&
2 no ale in fridge for last 5 weeks
The 11% sounds like my kind of tipple;-)
How you doing Stagger? Feeling okay?
Taste buds tingled and off I went to buy:-
Headland Red by Wold Top 4.3%
Dark Ale by Ringwood 5%
Nightmare by Nick Staffords 5%
Broadside by Adnams 6.3%
Now for the taste test;-)
2 pints of Landlord before my vegetarian pie and mash. Perfect
One Saltaire Blonde. No pie
Lightweight
Yeah, I missed the pie
