Loved the race yesterday, cracking day for it too. Many thanks to all involved & see you next year!
It was our great pleasure Bog Beast. We were very pleased you and the other runners gave us the race we were hoping for - we were particularly pleased to see Adam Osbourne return to defend and retain his title, breaking the course record in the process. Awesome running.
There were some top class visitors this year - so much so that the local lads (CVFR) went home empty handed.
Bit of a shame about the flag being moved in the first mile - heard you were all running round the woods for a while!
What happened to you down there?
Splendid race. Entered on a whim as I had nothing better to do - hope to be back next year for more of the same! Thanks to all involved.
Looks like we had quite a few entries from further afield this year Toreador thanks to you and the other far flung runners for making the journey to sunny Heptonstall
How did you find the route / flagging?
I found the flagging was fine, but the advantage of being a back runner is that it's pretty obvious where everyone else has been, especially in muddy conditions! There could perhaps have been more flags on the final descent to Crimsworth Dean (after CP7), where it cuts off the final corner. There seemed to be a long gap without any markers - though I may have gone slightly wrong as the footprints disappeared half way down the field!
