Re: Yorkshire three peaks 2008
Lesley, it's a hard race, especially if it's warm (as it was this year), but a great one! The best way to know if you can make that 3hrs 30mins cut off is to go on one of the many recce's that take place. I ran around it a couple of weeks ago and intend to go up again next month if you're interested?
Good point made by Stolly, it's alright getting to the cut off time of 3hrs 30mins, but it's still along way up and down Inglebugger!!!!

Sounds about right.
Mrs Stagger and mates ran from Horton car park to Ribblehead T junction and clocked just over 11 mile.

Bloody Hell, have you seen the entry fee???????
Has Foster and his mates got their fingers in this pie as well?
Just glad Mrs Stagger has it down as one of hers, cause I would not pay that to enter.

Hmmm. Hadn't spotted that. £8 this year, £20 next year. Inflation? I think not.

Re: Yorkshire three peaks 2008
Can anyone explain why unattached runners are expected to pay a fiver extra?

At a recent Committee meeting Mrs Stagger was inform that unattached runners would no longer be required to pay the additional £2.
It sounds like this race is becoming a method of extracting money from regular honest runners who have helped make the event what it now is.
