The white ones are indeed very smart. I'm slowly returning from injury and might have a trot out at a low-key event this weekend. I almost daren't commit myself in case the pf really flares up again, as it's not gone completely. BUT.... if it feels OK-ish, I'll be out and about in my shiny new Pony vest.:D
We are talking about Amex, i dont think it matters what you rub;)
Good luck with your foot Tussockface, im in a similar situation with my dodgy calf, going to get it poked hard by physio tomorrow night then limp round Duddon with it on saturday hopefully...not bothered if im slow:cool:
Without reading back 25 million pages.......what's goin on with these ere pink pony vests??
Will I get in time for a trot to France?? :D
Well done to all the Duddon Ponies yesterday:D
Was gutted not to be running but thoroughly enjoyed watching you all go past me on Swirl How (or wherever i was). Mrs C managed to knock herself out almost as soon as they left the start and was forced to retire with an enormous lump on her head. Not as big as Amex's blisters tho. Pudgy was first pony home and probably first to the pub last night too;) AK and Merrylegs followed but most impressive of all was DJ who let people egg him on into doing the long race and was still smiling when he cruised past me with a couple of lovely lady runners trailing in his wake:cool:
well done ponies, good effort's there, rest up george hope it's nothing to serious
My first big race! Well, first of all I'd like to thank The Master for the water somehere near Dow, that was a real godsend. I'd also like to thank Mr C for the rocket fuel that got me up Swirl Howe. And I mustn't forget Mrs C for her words of encouragement as I staggered down to teh Three Shires Stone without which I would surely have failed. But most of all I'd like to thank Merrylegs without whose chaufferring skills none of this would have happened. Thank you everbody:cool: PS no thanks to AK for taking a photo of me with such an idiotic expression on my face:D
Well done all ewe ponies, espc. DJ.
Anyone turning out for Ossy Oiks on Tuesday evening
Mrs Crumblydown was sporting a great bruise on her bonce this morning. Taking a dive as you come out of the starting field, I ask you! You could have just feigned a twinge in the calf (ey, Master?)
Thanks for all the support/ abuse and neighing from FP's on route. 'Course if somebody had been good enough to offer me a beer...
Good little herding this weekend. When's the next one? Best make sure the Crumblydown's mobile wine bar and bistro is present. Wouldn't be seen dead in a mock tudor tent :p
Cheers NB I was sooooo near to packing it in at the Three Shires Stone and again 50 yards up Swirl Howe, but after going through so much toture there was no way I wasn't going to do it after Swirl Howe!
Ossy Oiks would be nice but I severely doubt I'll be able to crawl it, let alone run it:D
Well done all Duddon Ponies and pony helpers, what a great weekned, Amex returns, well done mate, thanks for the nicotine rush on the finish line. Mrs. Merrylegs thinks she's met Peter Kay! Thank you Master for the green jellybabies, my least favourite colour, thanks Mrs.C for the drink at Wrynose, cramped up after it, wtf was it:D Well done Deejay, you are now officially barking, in my in opinion, my pleasure for the taxi driving;) Thanks Mr C for the cold Strongbow, my motorhome fridge is better than your coolbox:rolleyes:
Last but not least, a big thank you to Mrs. Merrylegs and the mini-me's, you were at Hardknott, Wrynose and the finish as planned, love you loads, glad we are on the right track again:cool:
Sounds like you had a fab weekend Merrylegs! ;)
How was the race, was it a toughy?
Do you think you might have a couple of budding Fell Ponies in the making? ;)
