Pride of Pendle
A bottle of Theakston OP
Lightweight
I'm off out to support our local businesses. They have had a rough time over the holiday period
Saltaire Stout No5 again tonight at the Lion. Very good
A stunning Thornbridge Bracia tonight. 10% & it's gone straight to my head after half the bottle....
Had a lush couple of pints of Silk of Amnesia from Macclesfield's Storm brewery this arvo.
Case of 8 Wainwright from Booths for me tonight. £8 minus staff discount brings it down to £6.40. Can't say fairer than that!
Looks like everybody's stopped drinking real ale. I blame Brexit.
I'll try & kickstart things off again with this cracker from last night:

A Belgian/Norwegian collaboration if you will.
I go to The Old Post Office in Ingleton. Too many to mention in there!! :)
Ok, it's not Ale. But one for you Whisky lovers

A couple of Python IPA from Little Valley.
Nice beer
A couple of pints of Butty Bach (little friend) from Wye Valley Brewers, a nice little family run pub in the centre of Birmingham.
A couple of John Smith's hand pull
Followed by
A couple of McEwens Champion
Can't beat a real ale pub
Craven for Fraser and Lorna’s wedding last night. Had a few ales including a pint of Old Puke. Some right Keighley legends out
Just back from the Lathkil Hotel after re-hydrating following The Kinder Trog and having had a few pints of one of The Three Brothers Brewing Companys beers, The Ex Wife. A very bitter ale!
Reluctantly attended an evening wedding reception in a marquee last night.
Surprise, surprise, they had Black Sheep on hand pull. A lovely evening.
Could not believe it when the hotel for my wedding, in Manchester City Centre, had Charles Wells Bombardier. I had lived in Northamptonshire for a few years so I was very familar with it.
Well, that's what you told your wife anyway...
I went to school just down the road from the Charles Wells brewery in Bedford. Never been inside the brewery, but I remember the smell.
A typically bad day on the M6 yesterday saw me taking a detour via Stoke-On-Trent and back through Burton-On-Trent, which was always a big brewery town. Couldn't smell the brewery yesterday, but a work colleague and Burton resident assures me that the smell, combined with the Marmite factory, can be pretty nasty!
Pete S i used to work in Aston! Straight up the road leading directly away from the rail station, a couple of hundred yards up there. The scenic delight of a lunchtime walk down the canal under spaghetti junction...
A yes - a trip I used to make on a regular basis. I used to get the train in from Chester Road and then walk up past the Villa, Aston Hall and through the park to school. Of course both the brewery and sauce factory are now long gone. Always wondered what happened to the HP sign - it was a bit of a landmark, clearly visible from the A38M on the way into Brum.
Ansells, HP sauce and Burton-brewed beer. Well one of them is (well, should be) world-class; the others I wouldn’t consume for a lot of money
Anyone heard from dom? Is he on the Facebook?
He is indeed on the facebook DT, as evidenced by recent fb photo (if this works...)

PS: how can you post bigger images?
Thanks Bill, nice one
Brett might be able to advise. I’m invariably on my phone and only get a ‘mobile version’ of the forum
iPhone Dr Pat
Anyway I can see enough to keep an eye of things 👁
I just googled this

Oh... you and your iPhones...
I know we are going way off topic in this thread, but what is wrong with the mobile verison of the site? I use it mostly and think it works very well.
Way off-topic is good - we’re fellrunners
Mobile version is good; I’ve just been frustrated I can’t get on full web-site
You can via that menu button, top right.
