Yeh I thought it was very fresh this morning in an autumny sort of way rather than a summery sort of way. I think the weather knows it is the 1st of September and has changed the thermostat.

Autumn is one of my favourite seasons though so it's not all bad :) (my other favourites being Summer, Winter and Spring :cool: )

here's a good question

how can you tell a hard boiled egg from a fresh one with out breaking the egg.

shaking it doesn't always work.

It reminds me of a horrible incident involving half a blue bottle crawling up the inside of the car window. It was just like that horse... half missing yet carrying on regardless :oops:

what you do is place the egg on a flat surface on its side and spin it.

after a few seconds you gently stop the egg spinning with a quick touch of you finger on the top. If it stays still it is hard boiled...

but is it starts spinning of it's own volition then it is fresh.:D

Why you may ask

WHY WHY!! because when you stop the fresh egg it continues to spin inside which then makes the shell spin.

easy really!
