Rev Howard Pask will starting the race with his traditional blessing - we are raising funds for church improvements as well as the Scouts and Mountain Rescue.
Howard would like to invite all runners and they're families to start their race day with an early tea / coffee in St Thomas's church - the church is altering its Sunday service to allow a drop-in service - no need to arrive or leave or leave at a particular time -you are all welcome to call in from 9am to share in the church's hospitality, keep warm, enjoy a cuppa, and enjoy a running related service - you may even get to hear of Howard's own endurance challenge on his epic Camino walk

It's strangely quiet on the race thread - should we be worried? Or is everyone on Facebook these days? Just in case anyone was wondering if we were still here it's all still looking good for 200 runners on the cobbles on Sunday at 10.30 - £6 entry on the day - weather looks perfect

We'll be there, despite the god bothering - I've got to shave 9 minutes off last year's time!

The moors are drying out nicely after a pretty dry week which won't do your chances any harm

My plans to be there are in tatters ... I'm poleaxed by flu. Overexerted myself typing that, have to go and lie down again.

Enjoyed this today. First time I've done it, it's hard but not silly hard and a good mix of terrain. No idea how I did, somewhere around 2:25 I think. Considering the dismal form I've been in recently that's pretty good. Thanks to everyone involved. Decent day out :)
