Yeah snow has eased off. snow plough has gone past (no gritter though) but road is drivable. I'm heading to Langsett for 11.00am if any one fancies a plough up cut gate.

About 2'' of snow here , hope there's no more today :( . Glad I got my recce done yesterday now.
Couple of inches (of snow!) round our way.
Although there clearly hasn't been any snow at all today, as the BBC haven't reported any, as in......South East not paralysed by heavy snow....
Or am I just being cynical?

Unless it snows in the home counties, it hasn't snowed at all as far as the BBC is concerned. When they ship 'em all to Manchester, maybe they will remember that the rest of the country exists.
I can remember Peter Allen (does the 5 drive show) being 'up north' for some reason or other and being totally gobsmacked by his drive along the M62 (of all motorways) where it goes over Saddleworth. It was like he landed in a totally strange country :D
