Going to plan/recce route this weekend been away so not had chance but will look at it now any suggestions on length, climb, type of route you fancy?
The last couple of years, 7 - 9 miles / 3000 - 4000ft have been fine Steve. Have fun recceing mate :cool:

You make your own way to the top and run like hell downwards to the pub car park - just over 2 miles but 1500' descent - fun and frolics in the pub afterwards. We had to cancel this last year for the first time cos of ice but this year I have a bad weather route!!!

Friday and Saturday the 17th & 18th December
A few days early but here goes!
Last year we tried a few things out that had not been done before and they seemed to work, so they are in for all this year!
Wives girlfriends lovers partners all welcome
Attend one or two days walk on the first day run on the second
Day one meet 12 noon for a walk to England's highest mountain via a few other lumps, for those who cant walk meet the George 9 pm then beer! then Loft last year a few hardy souls made the loft 2 days in a row i for one aim to repeat this fine act!
Day two Run, the run this year is the beautiful St Johns in the Vale, approx 10 mile 2000ft on the return there is an additional hill if you need the climb meet as always 10 am moot hall or sewage works 10.30
half way round surprise will be on again with a twist ;)
The meet will be at 7 pm on the Saturday night meal booked for 8 pm round town then loft!
With reduced admission the catch phrase this year is "i only shop online for beetroot"
i would be honoured if you would attend either one day or two or just the curry and beer!

Not sure I will be able to run, so may come for day 1 walk, do something else during the day on day 2 then OUT ON THE LASH as it would be rude to miss that bit :)

About time I joined in this shindig :), although I've got an office Christmas do in Blackpool on the Friday night. Count me in for the run & hopefully the curry...........(wonders to himself - what am I letting myself in for................:D)
