It's mainly turned to thin patches of ice where I live. Pictures of the snow dinosaurs can be seen on the blog. The stegosaurus is still standing.
Ahhh...now it is just compacted ice and I am terrified everytime I have to go out. Carshare car just been replaced but I am afraid all the time as I don't trust it to go round corners anymore and motorbike is lethal...I am fed up with bruises and white knuckle rides. More snow to come apparently. Will try public transport and walking for the next race. Anyone else feel as miserable as I do? :(
Still plenty of snow out on the high ground this morning.
Hardish frost though, so made for fast running over the boggy ground :)
When the temp rises though the terrain is a nightmare, super sludgy, super slippy and boggy due to the moisture.
ahhh here it comes, just started snowing. The 1.00pm news said it would arrive at 5.00, it's two minutes late. Weather forcasters:rolleyes:
Kinder was still plastered today Knee deep in places and drifting, where the sun has managed to melt it was water ice.
Parkin Clough and Descent from Lose Hill were leathal
No more snow here yet.
Still snow in haworth, not enough to be serious, but enough to be annoying in the morning!!!
I'm not sure it will be "run" but it will be on I guess but it will be a long slog out.
We have about 3 inches of fresh wet snow this morning. It doesn't feel cold so the thaw may have arrived. however what it's like on top is another matter. I'll certainly be up there on Friday so I'll give an update then.
But Kinder had knee deep drifting snow at Crookstone Knoll and the snake is closed still due to the snow. Time will tell....
Someone in lincolnshire is trying to make the most of the snow.
