Ozil to Arsenal, didn't see that one coming!
Transfer window closed and 'The Hair' has gone to Man U.
Looking forward to watching Ozil play. An excellent signing, one that will raise the game of the younger players and get a bit more out of the older players hopefully.
Meanwhile will Moses at Liverpool lead them to the promised land
Ozil is a good signing no doubt, but my first thought was that the price tag was canny inflated. Yesterday showed to me that Aresnal are going to be a strong force again this season, write them off at your peril. Giroud is turning into the real deal and I envisage a great season for him, with Walcott, Carzola and a rejuvenated Rosicky behind him, along with Ozil, they will be a force to be reckoned with.
That's the mighty Moldova seen off  Its a blow losing Welbeck for the Ukraine game though
Another clown college master class from Trap. Poor Sweden must have quaked when they saw Simon Cox was, yet again, the master plan from the Italian who still can't string 2 words together in the same language as the players. Still, we are thankful for small mercies, the last time this old oaf managed us against a big football nation at home, Germany beat us 6-1.
The mighty Shrimps, one point from first 3 games, relegation favourites. 3 wins in the next 3 and into the play off spots
Went to watch Burton v Oxford today. A few too many dodgy high balls for my liking. And a crap sending off. Definitely a yellow but no more than that.
here's a question: which current player do you think would make the WORST manager?
...
...
who's thinking of this guy? : http://www1.skysports.com/football/n...nished-playing
i don't know...
Look who have failed... Bobby Charlton..
Yet Steve Bruce has had a solid career...
Fergie was also hardly a saint as a player...
Di Canio I reckon is a walking disaster.
Bellamy has been a good pro, played many games, many clubs, good experience, comes across as more calm now.

Well we didn't lose I suppose
Well that was rubbish. So what if we qualify for Rio, it wont be any fun watching us be very disappointing when we get there  who's idea was it to bring feckin Hodgson in
Trap gone.
Thank God...
True, but expectations low with Ireland, we don't demand first place or qualification, merely to be competent. In this campaign we will finish 4th ahead of Kazakhstan and the Faroes, behind Austria who rank lower than us. That's incompetent.
The real problem was the utter contempt he had for his job and the players, he just stayed in Italy, looks like he went to one club match in his tenure (a Derby one, after which his next squad had 3 Derby players!), learned a handful of words in a few years (which is no big deal...but when his misunderstandings led to a number of arguments with individual players, that was unacceptable), and he sent out teams with players like Conor Sammon and Simon Cox when better players he just did not like were left on the bench or off the squad. To think the players at the highest level, Everton's Coleman and McCarthy, were left off the entire squad for the Euros, while Gibson did not feature for one minute and Cox was preferred to Premier League striker Long...insane.
Just got Poland to beat to qualify for the World Cup Finals. Now don't anybody mention 1973
The attacking options are looking pretty good. Especially with a few more games together. I just worry about Gerrard and Lampard though. I'D be tempted to go with Carrick and Wilshere. That would be an attacking line up.
Sensational play from England.
Still, there's always the second half to re-establish the natural order of things.
Townsend to Real Madrid in the transfer window? ;)
Phew!
So much for Poland having nothing to play for. Next time they get invaded they are on their own :D
Pleased England are there. Even though they're always utter shite it isn't really the same when they don't qualify for tournaments. :)
Tonight's the night to invade - they're all at Wembley.
That second half was a bit of a nerve-shredder. The only thing that didn't happen as I expected was Joe Hart not glumly picking the ball out of the net in about the 85th minute.
Unsung hero for me was Welbeck, who worked incredibly hard and nobody seemed to notice.
Great aim and very entertaining if not a little bit nail bitey.
Great play from every one although I did feel Sturridge should have scored the number of chances he had.
If they show that sort of passion at the finals I'll be happy enough. What I don't want to see is a scared team scraping 3 safe draws
I wasn't going to watch the Palace-Fulham game tonight but I changed my mind and was glad I did. Try and catch the Kasami goal it will take a bit of beating this season
Amazing bit of skill by Stephanie Roche!

Here's the Kasami goal.

Did anyone else see the Ferguson interview with Jon Snow on Channel 4 news last night?
Bloody hell, it was classic TV. Ferguson wouldn't have looked more uncomfortable if he'd been sitting there in a soiled nappy with electrodes attached to his balls! ;)
It was a good interview but the press question was strange.. about being thin skinned?
As manager of United he had to control the press as much as he could, thats just testament to the power of todays press, they really can dictate how people view issues. look at Blair missing an important vote (was it?) so he could get Murdochs support for his 97 campaign..
But also the press do affect the players, they read the papers, so he didnt want players affected.
Also strange about falling out with all his ex players.. when in reality its just been a few and few long standing ones..
I think he was right about keane, his anger at the end was from his inability to accept he was not the same player, but otherwise plenty of ex players back him, Eck, Bruce, Ince now, Mclair, Phelan, Scholes, Giggs, Butt, Nevilles, VDS, Schmeichel.. he fell out with most at some point but few long term, I think even strachan and him buired the hatchett in the end.
What does Danbert say???
Tick-Tock, I believe he is correct now, its only a matter of time before the end is ni.
