There was discussion about it on this thread a few weeks ago, http://forum.fellrunner.org.uk/showthread.php?t=10198.

We'll be there, but I guess as we organise it we'd need to be!
It is 5ml/1400' so is an AS, many would term it a 'classic'.
The climb is all running and the descent is 'interesting'.

Just been sorting out the spot prizes and you know what they are looking pretty good...you don't have to be a race winner to get a prize at Really Wild Boar!

Morning PH, is there any danger of this race being called off due to dust or anything like that? I like the sound of those spot prizes but i might have to bail straight away, i know you said you like people to attend the bun fight afterwards but i've got to get down to Staffordshire to get drunk on a boat and time may be a factor, we'll have to see.

We managed to avoid all dust on our return as we ducked under the channel.
If you take one of us to oneside I'm sure we can sort you out a pre 'bun' fight spot prize, as we can't have a fellrunner missing a drinking session now can we!

I'll be ok if i have to dash off, no worries ;). Doing a recce of that descent this aft and staying over at Brough, see everyone there.
Re: Really wild boar fell race
Thanks to Debbie and Gary for the event and my spot prize and thanks to the marshals for their assistance. Bumped into Brett while i was there, hope my route tips paid off for you they cirtainly did for me ;). I took a solo line off the summit as per my recce decision and got well in front of a group of runners who'd passed me on the way up, it was a bit boggy and i went in up to my knees at one point but ultimately considerably faster. I also started at the front to see if this would make a difference to my result, i haven't seen the full results yet so i don't know. Great race, definitely be back next year.
Re: Really wild boar fell race
thanks from me also. great weather great race and two top male and female runners turned up to take the honours.
fantastic spot prizes. Denis won the holiday in the Pyrennees. thanks for my Bumbag. first thing i have "won" at a fell race
Gary and Debbie are a super couple and this is an excellent race.
Re: Really wild boar fell race
Thanks to all who turned up for the 4th Really Wild Boar fell race, we also had a fantastic day! It was great to see a lot of new faces as well as the regulars! I will try to get the results to Brett tomorrow night.
The descent can be done without bog jumping! You just have to be able to follow Jim Davis...
We think we are going to have to move the date of next years race to the 21st May so keep that date free.
Thanks again.
