They got everyone's numbers ok despite everything, so positions and points for the league will be fine.
Hey, no worries Harry; I don't reckon many records will've tumbled yesterday ;) There was more than one moment when I thought only of getting off the hill  and back to the car never mind about recording a time. I think it pretty tremendous that the team recorded the positions given that absolutely no one came back with a number on!
But that's the fun (...when sitting in a good pub, close to a roaring fire with a fine beer in hand of course!) of racing on a day like yesterday. If we could order similar weather though for Austwick but then a nice hot sunny day for Elterwater that'd be fine thanks  (...guess who's away for Austwick!)

how did it go stick sounds like you had a rough one with the weather

It was horrid Cobby, absolutely awful. So bad I almost cried. Grifter beat me on the final run in :(
Oh...and atmosperic conditions were a tad rough too!
Re: Kendal Winter League 2007
Austwick was good, no rain, cool breeze and limestone not too slippy - did anyone put the last lady right who was trying to go round in reverse?
Re: Kendal Winter League 2007
Creme eggs for all finishers at Elterwater tomorrow. Just been to Asda and bought the lot. Last chance to get some points this year.
Re: Kendal Winter League 2007
Thanks for the creme egg, the race was quite nice too! See you in two weeks.
Re: Kendal Winter League 2007
The next one is in three weeks time on 14th April, none points race, but prize giving ceremony :)

Don't forget it's a Saturday rather than the normal Sunday. I've finally sorted out all the league tables so they should be on the Helm Hill website shortly. If you want a copy before then, then PM me your email address.
T-shirts are at the printers, trophies have arrived and Pete Bland has his vouchers ready for me to collect. So come along and pick up your prizes. There is also a great race round Arant Haw and Winder.
Re: Kendal Winter League 2007
Excellent race over Arant and Winder today, even better to see people suffering more in the heat than me;) .
Oh and well done to all the junior runners today - some brilliant running in the heat.
Really good presentation for all the award winners (those who couldn't turn up missed a lovely occasion).
A big thank you to Alistair and the unsung little team of helpers who staged another successful series.
Re: Kendal Winter League 2007
Didn't feel too bad straight after the Arant Haw race, however my quads are starting seize up tonight. Definitely Sedbergh legs tomorrow!
